The Holy Cross of Varak and Nearness to Christ
Unknown preacher
On the Feast of the Holy Cross of Varak, the preacher recounts the discovery of a relic of the True Cross on Mount Varak and connects it with Holy Muron as a tangible link between Armenian Christians and Jesus Christ. The Cross, Holy Muron, Scripture, and the Holy Spirit are presented as gifts that draw believers into a close relationship with Christ and prepare them for his promised return.
Matthew 24:30; Exodus (alluded to through the tradition of Holy Muron)
